About Me

Gabe Dusharme

Finding my path to real estate wasn't an immediate journey—it found me, almost unexpectedly. Following college, I ventured into the financial sector as a financial advisor and insurance agent, gaining invaluable insights into structured investing, risk management, and the often-overlooked world of insurance. What struck me was the reluctance many have in discussing their financial assets openly. Yet, they readily share details about their homes and mortgages, perhaps because these tangible assets reflect our roles and values within our communities.

Driven by the prospect of helping individuals navigate their financial obligations towards a brighter future, I delved into mortgages, approaching them with a keen eye for reducing the true cost of credit. From originating mortgages to overseeing residential lending compliance, I honed my skills, drawing on my technical proficiency and background in finance.

Despite initial reservations about diving into the real estate realm—a domain seemingly dominated by sales and marketing—I found myself drawn to it. My penchant for detail-oriented management, coupled with a familiarity with construction gleaned from college breaks and a family background in trades, made me a natural fit.

Today, I proudly serve as a real estate broker with RE/MAX in California, boasting 16 years in real estate and 13 years in mortgage and finance. My journey includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from California State University, Chico, with a focus on business management and information systems. Currently, I contribute to the Sierra North Valley Association of Realtors as a member of the Board of Directors.

Prior experiences include roles as a licensed financial advisor and insurance agent for a Fortune 50 financial company, an underwriter at Wells Fargo, and training as a residential home inspector. Each step has shaped my expertise and reinforced my commitment to guiding clients towards their real estate goals with confidence and clarity.
